"The synergy of color, light, sound and aroma"

The Science

Color & Light - The beneficial effects of color and light exposure is evident in the simplest of terms.

As you gaze across a crimson glazed dusk sky infused with deep violet hues are you moved?  Have you witnessed the vibrant effect of sunlight on a vast body of water?

Through the everyday experience of extraordinary events we take in the harmonizing effect that ensues. Specific frequencies create particular wavelengths which register as specific colors to the eye. As we appreciate the idea that vibration determines form, it can be inferred that our cells are continually responding to vibrating patterns within our environment.

Light therapy is used by optometrists for glaucoma, aesthetic surgeons for facial rejuvenation  and recognized by psychiatrists for improving mood and depression.

Sound - The dramatic effect of sound in our environment is always evident!

Imagine the rhythmic sound of the surf returning to its shore, an orchestra of crickets at dusk or a familiar soothing voice singing your name. All of these commonly occurring sounds of nature can serve to recalibrate or tune the body back into a harmonious state of well-being. As we have learned from experts in the field of physics we are part of the vibrational matrix.

Is it any surprise that we crave the sounds that please us and react negatively to sounds that disturb us? Sound has been considered as a sacred tool through the ages. Many cultures and philosophers have assigned great values to the benefit of sound as evidenced through the use of chanting, singing and mathematical correlations to sounds.

Through the response that sounds create a reorganizing can occur at the cellular level. There are many examples set forth through Cymatics, the study of wave phenomena. Dr. Hans Jenny (1904- 1972) was a Swiss medical doctor who pioneered the field and documented through experiments the inherent responsiveness of matter to sound (vibration). Dr. Jenny’s captured cymatic images are purely mind shattering! Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto has also provided compelling evidence of the phenomenon of  reorganizing potential through exposure of water to sound followed by the resultant crystal formations.

Aromatherapy - Fragrances are directly linked to our emotional aspect of the brain .

Recall the alluring and exhilarating anticipation formed by the wafting aromas formed by the cooking of a lovingly prepared holiday meal.

The value of using fragrant oils was widely recognized by the ancient Egyptians as well as the Greek and Roman civilizations.

As we form thought associations with our environment we create a vibratory pattern. As we create favorable moments we allow a frequency of alignment and cellular harmony to flow throughout our energy field. The aromatic world provides a spectacular opportunity to create positive correlations intentionally through the use of an aroma during an experience that is pleasurable. The recognition of the aroma at a later date can enable the brain and body to recreate the conditions that were present during the previous experience. Practitioners have successfully recreated physiological responses in their patients through the sole application of essential oil.
